First giving honor to God! I’m Melchee and I’m grateful for your visit to my site. My life’s journey has been grounded in faith and grace and love. I’m a daughter, aunt, sister, and friend, and above all, a child of the Most High.
In 2015, I launched the New Day blog out of a desire to share biblical inspiration and from a lifelong love for words. New Day grew to MELCHEE, guiding my overall work and service and forming a simple mission to serve God and His people. With a magazine, the New Day LIVE! Talk Show (2022-2025), media services, and more, I’m grateful for all the Lord has brought my way!
A little more about me:
Prior to New Day, I was the founder and editor of PRAISE!Magazine, filled with Christian prose and poetry. Launched two years after I graduated college and published for seven. It was God’s first vision to me of something of my own and will always be my heart.
Fan of ol’ school TV. My faves are Good Times, The Golden Girls, and The Andy Griffith Show. Do not disturb when these shows are on! Love movies also.
When I’m not being a homebody, I enjoy dining out, the beach and other travel, and spending fun times with friends and family.
I love coffee and have a huge sweet tooth. Thank you for your donation to my dessert ministry.
I’m an avid reader, podcast subscriber, and lifelong learner. Interests: Scripture, Black history, Christian fiction, practical faith living.
Love being in worship of God, I love the ways and disciplines of God, and I love His Word and sharing it with others.
North Carolina is home, and I’m a Tar Heel and grateful graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
