From as early as I can remember, my life has been shaped by words.

While my fellow kindergarteners painted flowers or stick-figure families during art time, I painted my ABCs. To be honest, I had no creativity otherwise, so I went with what I could do. Outside of class, I’d often find my way to pen & paper to write out Bible verses or recipes from a magazine which I turned into letters to my grandmother. I couldn’t have understood it then, but purpose was beginning to emerge.

That thread followed me through every season. I excelled in language arts in school, drawn naturally to writing and storytelling. In college, I chose journalism—not just as a major, but as a pathway. And just two years after graduating, that pathway became purpose.

In 1996, I founded PRAISE!Magazine. For seven years, it was a space where faith and fun met life and where I first held something I could call my own.

Years later, in 2015, the New Day inspirational blog was born and later blossomed into so much more. It was the impetus for how I show up, how I work and serve, and how I steward what God has given me. I saw in New Day calling over career, and I haven’t looked back.

Now, we are here.

Faith Forward

As I look ahead, I do so with gratitude—but also with clarity.

This work is not just about creating content. It’s about showing up with excellence. It’s about choosing substance over noise, purpose over performance, and connection over trends. It’s about building something that’s impactful and helps others.

I am thankful for all that has brought me here—the early beginnings, the quiet seasons, the bold starts, the prayers, tremendous support, and a loving, faithful God.
